A lot of folks play it up here. They call it "boules". Many of my neighbours in Lanaudiere have a small boules court on their properties.

There we go then, I have been vindicated, boules is boules, I suppose the players in Canada are French Canadians, or people who know when a game of boules is a game of boules. Got to be careful what you say though, some people take umbridge to what I have to say. I am use to call a spade a spade and a game of boules a game of boules, I would never dream of calling a spade a shovel.

Sorry, I do call it a shovel, and tomorrow, I will be playing petanque down by a lovely marina, with the temperature a comfortable 72 degrees. And you will still be here patting yourself on the back about your vindication on my simple statement of my hobby. Enjoy....

Has I have said before, a rose by any other name is still a rose, and a game of boules is still a game of boules no matter what name you call it. Enjoy your game of boules/pétanque though, just hope you don't over heat while we are freezing our socks off. ;D

My hobby is collecting dinosaur-related items. I have everything from books and toys to fossils and fridge magnets.
