Peg and I have a different thing together. I remember many times when we didn't get along. A time where she thought I didn't like her. A time when we could agree on NOTHING!! Yet we both knew there was more to each other than what we were reading. Something was missing, but what?
Well as it turned out, we just simply had different ways of expressing ourselves. We may not have agreed politically, but we agreed on a human level. Which means we both believed that humans, all humans, deserved respect and love. She was much better at it than I ever will be. (perhaps not all, I mean there were some that we both agreed should not have been born.)
We disagreed on gun laws. We disagreed well on many things. But we got to know one another, and found that we were the same in many other ways. I have a very blunt way of doing things. I sugar coat nothing. Yet, Peg had a way of disagreeing without being mean about it.
I can't explain it. I know she was surprised when she became sick and I found out her addy so I could send a get well card. I suppose she never expected it from me. I forgot the address as soon as I mailed that card. There's just too many things in this head that need to be remembered.
She was kind, and funny, and her mystery person game was the best one I have ever played. I played it on the msn boards. I forgot which one, but I had fun with it. I learned how to speak UK English on that thread. (yes there are different forms of English. There is, I swear. lol)
I will miss Peg, her daily postings of sports, politics, and many other news stories she did in her daily bulletin. (only one board hated it and came down on her for it. If I could have reached through the computer to pound some ignorant heads that desperately needed it, I would have. I said goodbye to that board and haven't been back since. I still call it, to this day, the I Hate Americans board.)
The above is a perfect example of how different we were. Yet, we got to know one another, and understanding followed. I will miss her. Very few people on these boards know how to calm me, or keep me from making a larger fool of myself. Without Peg, that makes only one left who has the ability to do that.
I miss her, I will miss her bulletins, her talks, her game, and just everything about her. She was a wonderful lady. May you bless the heavens. Until we meet again. . goodbye, my friend.
