Good afternoon folk, we had only two trick or treaters, but they don't count even though they were nicely dressed and scary. They only live three doors away, a 7 year old girl and her 4 year old brother. They are knocking on our door every other day asking for a ice lolly or Smartie sweets. They give us a lovely smile, and Evie, the little girl gives Mrs Jack a hug. we have three small great grandchildren so we always have those things in for when they visit. Just saying.

No trick or treaters around here this year, no families with young kids around here now, it's like the grim reapers waiting room down this road with all the oldies

It is always Grim Reaper's time. Had a phone call yesterday to say an old friend who we go out regularly for a meal has just died. It was a shock because we have never known him to be ill with anything. Ok, he was 91 years old but it was a shock just the same, not heard what he died of yet. Then we got an e-mail from Australia saying Mrs Jacks last surviving brother has just had a massive Stroke, and things are not looking good. He his 90 years old, been very fit and well too.
I should be ok though, an old Gypsy told me many years ago that I will live till I am 92 years old. So according to that I have got just over Four years to go yet. Just saying.

Hi Moxie, at our age I suppose it is to be expected, still a bit of a shock though, waiting to hear from Australia to see how the Brother in Lew is progressing in hospital. The Sister in Law says it is not looking good at the moment. Thanks for your concern though. Jack. |

Hi Fritz, God only takes the Goodies, so you will know where you will be going when you finaly pop your clogs. At least you will never feel cold, and like me, will be with lots of friends and family. Just saying.

I have been gone since Wednesday and just got back home. Busy, busy...still a bit congested and whatnot, but am on the mend with my energy back. Hubby followed behind me in a separate vehicle, so when he gets home we are going to go out and grab a burger...too tired to cook after the drive.
Life should be less busy moving forward through the holidays and we are looking forward to heading to the west coast for a mini vacation in a few weeks.

Oh...and I have had a ZIT on my face for several days!! Who the heck gets a ZIT at my age?!?  I am not sure what to do with it as I haven't had one since my teen years. lol It is bugging the heck out of me! |
