I had a teaching job offer in Skokie. I turned it down...I was so turned off by the haughtiness of the district people I interviewed with that I knew I couldn’t work there.

Yes, in Park Ridge. When I was a kid, my family lived in Norridge for a while. So did Cheryl, it's where we met as teens. I played tennis at Main South at times.

The teacher I would have been working with kept patting herself on the back over her degree from Northwestern...blah, blah, blah. 🙄

I had a friend who grew up in Norridge and went to high school there...about your age. I can’t recall her maiden name though. Haven’t seen her in decades!

I was also in class with Nick Greco of the Greco Construction family.
Another College friend of mine married Pete Palumbo's daughter.
Right before he went to prison, lol.

Ridgewood was the public high school in Norridge. Right behind the Maurice Lennel cookie 🍪 factory.

Didn’t mean to offend you if you went to Northwestern. It’s a good school. I just didn’t like her attitude.

I guess, they never talked about their thing. My friend Steve married Pete's daughter Adeline. We spent a few Christmas parties with them after they married. When I moved to Arkansas to retire, we kind of drifted apart. That was 15 years ago.
