I discovered Brambles last summer. Yum.
50ml Gin. (I use Bombay Sapphire but that's just personal taste) 25ml Fresh Lemon Juice. ½ shot sugar syrup
Build over crushed ice, in a tall glass. Stir, then pour over 1 shot of cremé de mûre; garnish with a lemon slice and a blackberry. The original uses a raspberry, which I prefer.
Cremé de mûre is blackberry liqueur. It can be substituted with Chambord, which is a black raspberry liqueur; it subtly changes the flavour but it's equally moreish.
It's not meant to be wickedly strong, and the flavour will change as the ice melts. Summer in a glass.

Oh that sounds de-lish, bach! I have to try that one. I'm a big fan of anything cold that's raspberry in the summer.

They're all alcoholic drinks. Damnation.

Spanish or Brazilian coffee, topped with whipped cream, is excellent on a crisp autumn day. Brazilian coffee 1 oz brandy coffee 1 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur 1/2 oz Grand Marnier® orange liqueur Mix Kahlua and brandy into glass, add hot coffee, top with whipped cream if desired. Carefully float 1/2oz of Grand Marnier onto top of creation.....enjoy!

A friend got me some Hibiscus tea from Cairo. It's a nice refreshing drink and can be drunk hot or cold. 48 ounces water 3 tablespoons hibiscus flowers 2 cinnamon sticks 1/8 cup sugar 1 small orange, sliced Ice 1 lemon, cut into wedges Directions Bring water to light boil, turn off heat add the hibiscus flowers and cinnamon sticks. Cover and steep for 20 minutes.
Strain tea into desired container, add sugar and orange slices and serve over ice. Garnish each glass with a lemon slice.
This tea recipe can easily be doubled for a larger serving. When using herbs in tea making, longer is not better. Heating the herbs for extended time can release unfavorable qualities and bitterness found in herbs. The key is to add MORE herbs to strengthen flavor.
