So, I caught parts of Dallas last night. John Ross is in jail? For murder? Who murdered Marta?
I saw what Christopher did to save his cousin. He's definitely Bobby's son.
I'm going to have to watch it on On Demand to get a better understanding of it before next week. LOL

It's being reported that Larry Hagman has died. Piers Morgan tweeted that both Linda Gray & Patrick Duffy were with he & his family when he passed away.

I just finished watching the JR funeral episode. In the beginning of the season I didn't care for John Ross but today, he's definitely my favorite.
If I didn't know Larry Hagman passed, I'd swear he'd be back again! LOL
I'm officially hooked on the show again. I can't wait to find out what the masterpiece is JR has concocted. So, once again, we're faced with a "Who killed JR?" hahaha Anyone care to offer up scenarios?

*swoon* I have to agree, Steff. When the show first started, I didn't really care for the guy playing John Ross. But, as the show has progressed, WOW! He is all that and then some. IMO, they cast him well into this role. I was thinking the same thing when the two of them would stare and when he'd call her "darlin". The best scene for me last night was when John Ross was sitting on the sofa in that vest when she came home from lunch with Cliff and he questioned her. WOW hot, hot, hot!
I'm disappointed the finale is next week already. The plot is getting really good right now. "Who killed JR?" yet again. And I loved the ending last night with Bobby smirking as he handed over the keys and walked out.

The way he almost whispered, "Maybe I'm just seeing double" in that scene....O.M.G. And that swagger he's got going. It's like Josh Henderson (the actor) is channeling Larry Hagman at certain points. Would have never thought they could find a young actor with as much charisma & Southern charm as JR had, but Josh Henderson has got it and more.

Oh I know! That was the best scene with Josh so far! I can't wait to see what happens when the bury Barnes Global and Christopher and John Ross end up at odds again. Cuz ya just know that's gonna happen.

I just can't wait to see the look on Cliff's face when Pambecca tells him that she's married to John Ross. Cliff's head just might explode. In some ways, John Ross is now more "Bobby" than Christopher. He's married to a Barnes, owns half of Southfork, and is trying to protect his family. He's just got JR's swagger, scheming & great one liners and Sue Ellens vulnerability.
So here's mine & mom's theory on who killed JR. Katherine Wentworth. yeah yeah, Pambecca just got her shares that Cliff "inherited", but there's nothing from the original Dallas to say she's dead. We think the lady that they think is Original recipe Pam is going to end up being Katherine. SHE was the one who took burned up Pam away. IMO, Pam died & Katherine just took over her money. Both Pam & Katherine had been used, abused, chewed up & spit out by both the Ewings and Cliff. We think Katherine just didn't want any part of it anymore. So when she finds out that JR is looking for Pam, without really even bothering to find out why, decides OH HELL NO, not again & arranges to have JR killed. It would be totally unexpected. And most of Katherine's original Dallas storyline was during the dream year, so it's open to rewrite/make it fit soap opera tweaking. It also would give a great guilt storyline next year for Bobby. He was the one most involved with Katherine & almost everything she did was to get with Bobby.
I hope they bring back Ken Richards/Colt Seavers/Steve Austin/Heath Barkley just so someone can offer him a 6 million dollar bribe....LOL
I figured that Emma Crazy Pants was supposed to fill the "Lucy" character slot, but she's actually so much worse than Lucy was. Lucy was all about sex for approval, love & attention. Emma is doing it for revenge and drugs. But when you see whackadoodle Daddy telling her that everything in this who thing is her fault because she left home. WTF Daddy dearest! I'm hoping Gramma dearest breaks outta her mental institution (cause you KNOW she's not at a rehab center in Houston) and her & Daddy dearest have a fight to the death at the top of the stairs.
I'm also gonna miss Drew, he was nice to look at. But now you know he's gonna die in a hail of gunfire. About the only way to redeem him is have him die while saving Bobby. Maybe we'll get lucky & they'll off Elena at the same time. She's soooooooo annoying and just can't convey that same "above it all/holier than thou/don't get down in the dirt" attitude that Original Recipe Pam had.
I can't wait to see Pambecca move into Southfork & watch Christopher pout 24/7 over it...lol

Wow, Steff! You and Mom definitely have a great theory there. And probably right too. You guys should write for the show! You remember far more about the original series than I do. LOL Katherine seems like a great choice!
I'm hoping Drew comes back. I'm not fond of Elena either. I can't wait until next week. Cliff is gonna have a heart attack when he finds out.
I thought the same thing about Emma being the new Lucy but worse. She's a pretty good actress though. I like her. I wanted to smack Daddy Dearest when he said those things to her though. I'm also hoping Lee Majors returns. I'm thinking he could be Sue Ellen's next love interest. LOL

Read an interview last night with Patrick Duffy & he says that Dallas HAS been renewed for a 3rd season. Only problem is that they are going to move it back to summer runs because the ratings were higher & there's little to no new show competition. That means, summer 2014 before we see the 3rd season.

Oh noooooooooooooooooooo! I can't believe we're going to have to wait a year to see new ones! That sucks big time. I think they'll lose a lot of viewership if they do that.

There were a lot of good points in his interview. Because of having to reshoot 1/2 of an entire season, the cast hasn't had a break from filming or promoting in almost a year 1/2. They prefer the summer runs because no competition with hit shows, plus that means they film in Texas during the fall/winter instead of the heat of the summer. And that is a BIG deal with Texas summers.
TNT is extremely happy with the ratings & the demographics the show is pulling in. The show set records for TNT after Larry Hagman's death & the ratings held up even when he was no longer shown at all. They plan to do a lot of reruns of the first 2 seasons with extra scenes, cast interviews added before commercials & behind the scenes specials. They're going to promote it just like they did for the first season by building up the hype again. What they said is the hardcore fans will tune back in like we did for the first season & will drag others right back into watching it, just like during the first season. And if they put it on when there's nothing else new on....they could pick up even more viewers who don't want to watch a rerun. Plus it gets them out having to rush episodes for the NBA playoffs.
Also they have to revamp/rewrite their long term storyline plans because they changed so many directions after JR's death. They have to figure out who's going where & what the season goal/direction will be.
