Dear all..... It is my sad duty to give you the following news.................... Our dear, sweet Sparkle passed away.....yesterday ( 2nd September 2012 ) between 12.30pm and 13.00 California time whilst in Los Alamitos Medical Center following a Hernia operation. She suffered internal bleeding after the op and was taken back into Theatre for the Surgeon to cauterize the bleed, which proved successful. However, our Sparky was already a Diabetic and a Witness therefore Blood Transfusions were out of the question...... Her blood count plummeted, rallied but dropped again.... A stent was placed in her neck to administer medication whilst they put her on Dialysis as her Kidneys began to fail. However, there was no hope after the Kidneys failed completely and she just wasn't strong enough to fight........ People....I am heartbroken.....and soooooooooo sorry that I have to impart such dreadful, devastating news. All your comments and best wishes were read out to her and so she knew how you felt.............. and on behalf of her family, may I convey their gratitude for all your kindness. She is to be Cremated and her ashes are to go to her Father's resting place at The Chapel of Memories......the location of which, I do not know at the moment. God Bless you all......I am so very, very sorry...... Macbeth xxxx

Honestly, I didn't know Sparkle much at all as we rarely posted in the same places. But I couldn't help but read her last post to the board and these words caught my eye:
This was a woman who expected to live; she was not someone who saw herself at the end of her life. There were many days ahead for her, and seeing them cut short ... it struck me with a profound sadness for her and her family.
She should be here now, complaining about the pain yet relieved it is over, but she's not, and though she was never close to me, I still somehow feel her absence in this world just the same.
This, above all else, should remind us that we are all human beings here, not simply words on a screen. We love, we laugh ... and we die. All of us.
May you find all that you desire on the other side, Sparkle. R.I.P.
