Yep, it was. I can kinda see Max's point and yet, the show, when it first started, was far more "professional" in my opinion. It seems it's become more a popularity contest. The first couple of seasons, Carson would've been voted off immediately. But now, people like him are kept around for the "entertainment value". I think that's wrong.

And he's not bad to look at either. I think he's one of the few who is there every season.

I wish the MSN dancing board peeps would come here too. DD is usually there.

Well, J.R. did great! He has such personality. He's not the best actor but . . . I really like him. I'm kinda hoping he wins.

I thought J.R.'s quick step was excellent. It really was excellent choreography, too.
I saw J.R. a couple of times on a soap. Truthfully, I honor him for his service but I have a hard time seeing beyond his scars. They're not as noticeable when he's dancing as they are when he's acting.

I agree that DWTS was more professional early on. Maybe, that's why I liked it more then.
I'm not sure that Maks has been on every season but he can't have missed more than one or two.
This kind of sucks. I love Kristin Chenoweth but no one can do that song like Liza Minelli did.

It was excellent.
I agree about the scars. I've seen him on the soap and they seemed so much more pronounced. Not sure why. What a great outlook he has, though, after everything he's been through. Kudos to him.

She was excellent on the song from "The King and I".

I've been slowly losing interest in the show. I really do prefer them to be more professional and base the winner on who's been the most improved throughout the season.
Liza and her mother. What a team. I loved watching Judy Garland. I'm a big fan of the old musicals. And Liza is a great broadway actress / singer.

J.R. has a great attitude. It breaks my heart to think of all of the men and women who've been killed and wounded in ways that will be with them forever in that stupid war in Iraq. More power to him and anyone like him can continue to lead full lives after such suffering.

I agree, Sus! God bless our men and women serving and their families!

I remember getting teary-eyed the first time I saw Liza sing that song. I was in Denmark but I went to see the movie a half dozen times more after I came home.
Judy was incomparable. One of the best shows I ever saw on Broadway was "The Boy from Oz" with Hugh Jackman. It was about Peter Allen, Liza's first husband. There was a Judy impersonator in the show. She was excellent but the really great ones can't be impersonated.

Judy and Liza, like Steisand and some others, have unique voices. You're right, they just can't be impersonated.
My Mother used to go to broadway shows all the time. Unfortunately, I've never seen one. It's on the bucket list though.

More great choreography! Ricki's lift was too complicated for her, imo. David's facial expressions were priceless. I didn't notice Rob or Nancy's "special movements" though. I really enjoyed the whole dance.

I didn't notice Nancy's "special movements" either. I was too busy laughing at David's facial expressions. But, yes, it was a great group dance.
Thanks for joining me tonight, Sus.

You have to go see one, FS. It really is my favorite thing to do. If I could afford to live in NYC, I'd move there in a NY minute just so I could go to shows every week. I saw my first one in 1984. There are some years that I've gone there for a week and seen eight or nine shows. I did that last March. I'm thinking about doing it again in December. Hugh Jackman is doing a one man show then and he's my absolute favorite male Broadway performer. Strangely, I almost never like his movies.

Thanks to you, too, FS. It's much more fun to "watch" with someone else.

Oh I would love to go see one. I used to wish my Mother would invite me to go along with her and her girl friends when they would go. I remember her raving about Fidler on the Roof. The last one she went to see was Momma Mia, which I thought would've been the perfect show for us to go see but . . . alas, her time with her friends was just that. But, one of these days, I will get there. I certainly live close enough. In my youth, though, I couldn't afford it.
I certainly remember your speaking on the boards about the different shows you'd go see.
I've only seen one Hugh Jackman film that I enjoyed.

So Chaz was eliminated. Based on the dances last night, I think Hope should've been eliminated this week but . . .
