Why wouldn't they let him in? We've elected many politicians after worse indiscretions and they mea culpa'd.
And I know many who, after 40, are in better shape than most 25 year olds. LOL I'm not one but . . . ;D

Being "in shape" is not the same thing as being able to compete against 25 yr olds. And, he is not a politician. We actually hold our athletes in much higher regard and expect a higher standard of them than we do our sleazy politicians. So, my prediction is that his career is over and he will just fade into the woodwork.

Well, personally I agree with what you said about politicians. And I hope Lance does fade into the woodwork.

Well, sports needs to pee in a cup or get off the pot. They need to make up their mind. They can't wink and nod one way and talk another. Either they are serious about clean competitors or they are not. If they are, then they need to enact stringent testing and those that fail should be banned from the sport. They made a lot of money off of Lance and their hands are not clean either.

I totally agree! But, I feel the same about politicians!

I saw a bit of it. I had to turn it off though. I'm sick to death of people screwing up and then crying "I'm so sorry" about it. He knew damn well what he was doing was wrong. And to make matters worse . . . people accept what he did and what the politicians do. It sickens me what this country / world has become.

Down to even his Olympic medal & a time in a marathon. I don't see a whole lot of "acceptance" from anyone. Even fans of his are jumping ship.

We'll see! The only reason he's doing what he's doing is to get back in everyone's good graces! Americans have short memories. A couple of month's from now, people will be lining up to see him again and sponsors to sign him.

Well, i didn't find him to unrepentant or excusing himself. Seems to me he is admitting and owning it and not asking for sympathy, a pass or an excuse. He was very matter of fact and seemed honest to me. That doesn't excuse him in anyway but now people know the truth.

People knew the truth before this. This is just a ploy by him to be accepted and allowed to participate again.

I'm telling ya . . . he is trying to clear his name for something. Maybe he won't compete but he wants something!

That could be. Seems to me he would have been better served to just stay in the background.

IMO, these people are far too full of themselves and think all will be forgiven. I wholeheartedly believe they believe they've done nothing wrong and are just play acting to the public with their apologies to get their way yet again!

What he wants is to be allowed to compete in the triathlon and marathons again. As far as his mea culpa goes, I think he'll say anything, do anything to get what he wants. He is a nasty individual who has tried to destroy anyone who blew the whistle on him, even when what they said was the truth. I wouldn't trust this piece of garbage as far as I could throw him.

What will be most interesting to see is what happens with the people that Armstrong sued and WON a financial settlement from for saying he was doping. Will he repay them & apologize or will he be drug back into court for it. It takes balls (or in his case, ball) to lie & sue people for telling the truth about you.
