Well, maybe he could use drones for abortions, that will keep the Left wing whackos happy. And, it will allow him to kill Americans.

Last time (or maybe first time) a U.S. citizen was killed in a strike against al Qaeda, the government had the decency to at least pretend it was an accident. Kamal Derwish, born in Buffalo, New York, killed in a drone strike in Yemen in 2002.

Perhaps they were worried about the legal implications of asserting that a US president possesses the ultimate power of life or death over a U.S. citizen. It's here now though.

"...The paper states that the U.S. would be able to kill a U.S. citizen overseas when "an informed, high-level official of the U.S. government" determines the target is an imminent threat, when capture would be infeasible and when the operation is "conducted consistent with applicable law of war principles..."
...and, of course, the targeted overseas US citizen must be a known member or cohort of al-Qaeda or a related terror group. -------------------------- Fuzzy, you hate the duly-elected POTUS so much that you'd rather side with al-Qaeda? Interesting. And yet, if the known traitor managed to harm America or its civilians, you'd be hollering that Obama doesn't want to do anything about it.
You're so predictable.

This happens all the time among right-wing extremists. I've seen them stand shoulder to shoulder with the likes of Castro, Chavez, Ahmadinejad, Osama bin Laden, and others whenever one of these men ridiculed Obama.
If Obama had been elected in 1940, they would be back-patting Hitler, Tojo, and Mussolini even after Pearl Harbor.
In the small town where I once lived as a teen, we had our rivalries, differences, and, in some cases, even hatreds between ourselves. But woe be to any out-of-towner who ventured into our village and tried to pick a fight with one of the locals. Even if we didn't always get along, we still had a sense of loyalty to each other.
Too bad that doesn't extend to the radical right, who would gladly throw Obama under the bus even for the sake of agreeing with an "out-of-towner" picking on one of our own.

Well, who cares? Let's get back to the really important issues of the day like Michelle's bangs or Obama's golf score.

So, we now have a Pres who possesses ultimate power over the life and death of US citizens? OK. Welcome to our nightmare. Now we have another president "who possesses ultimate power over the life and death of US citizens." #44 in a long line of rotating dictators. I actually doubt that Kamal Derwish was the first in 2002, just the first in the ongoing "war against terror" and al Qaeda. And he may have merely been the first that we know about. Who did what in the past is well hidden, but for Lincoln.

Why shouldn't i throw Obama under the bus? Good riddance. Haven't you already? Throw the dumbass system under the bus and congress, who long ago abdicated their Constitutional responsibility to declare war to the executive branch. If you can.

Well, who cares? Let's get back to the really important issues of the day like Michelle's bangs or Obama's golf score. May as well, there didn't seem to be a great deal of concern in 2002 and this incident happened in 2011. "Michelle's bangs" and "Obama's golf score" would be more recent events. So yeah, you should get back to that and what your favorite entertainers are doing with their court cases.

Who cares about international terrorism when there's Obama to bash? Might as well give al-Aulaqi the keys to any government building, nuclear facility, or power plant of his choice. He's an American citizen, after all, and treason is neither here nor there.

You know what Shirna, when you actually call out the LEFT for their wrongdoing, i will do likewise on the Right. You are so blinded that you can't even see anymore.

But, yeah, waterboarding was far worse. Or putting a pair of underwear on some prisoner's head. Yeah, let's close Gitmo because how terrible. But, kill Americans with drones, no problem.

LMAO fuzzy, shirina and everyone else here who disagrees with you can see just fine. The difference is that they actually see reality where as people like you see what you wish was reality. The right, especially in the last couple of decades see what they want to see or what they are told to see by the likes of fox news, limbaugh, and the rest of that Cirque Du Ridiculous. This latest fox news report is just more of the same right winger nonsense. They take a story then add their obama hate spin on it all for things that past presidents, repos included, have done just as IIF said. The facts are these if this story would have come out under dubya the right wingers would have ignored it and covered it up. Sorry fuzz but yet again this another example of you letting fox news and their ilk spoon feed you BS and you believing it to be truth.

I don't believe what Obama did WAS wrong. Yes, that's my opinion, but I don't believe Americans should be able to hide behind their citizenship to engage in anti-American activities such as, say, international terrorism against the United States.
I also find it hypocritical that so many right-wing gun nuts are all for shooting people dead in defense of their homes and property. No trial, no appeal ... nothing. Just a summarily meted out death sentence.
Well guess what ... that's exactly what Obama did. He killed someone in defense of OUR home and OUR property. Whether he used a drone or a Colt .45 doesn't make one iota of a difference.

Christopher Hitchens supported waterboarding for many years. He even chose to have waterboarding done to him so he could prove it wasn't really torture.
Afterward, he reversed his position. It was, in fact, torture.
