I like New Year's Day best, because it means I have made it to another year. They do say that time waits for no one, that is why I like to keep up with it. Time I mean, not times, I just can't keep up with modern times they change so often. I intend to keep up with Old Father Times, but they do say that slowly slowly catches the Monkey. So I do like to dally a bit too, prefer to live in the past instead of the future, fashions change so much too nowadays. Much prefer the Hippy look, I would even wear flowers in my hair, that is if I had any. Just saying.
Happy New Year Folk, not long to go now. Just saying again.

Possibly going by my friends house.
The one who just retired down here last summer. (Tom & Mary)
It would just be for the afternoon, as we like to get home before dark.
Especially on New Years Eve.
Too many deer on the roads after dark.

I hit mine (or rather the deer hit me as I saw it and slowed down) at 7:30 in the morning in broad daylight.

Everyone have a great New Years Eve ! You too! Early evening for us, but hubby is now parking at the airport, so I don’t have to drive him. I am going to watch the Badgers play in the Rose Bowl on Wednesday. 👍 🏈 🏆

You don't see many old Dears on the road at night time here, none driving anyway, the old Dears are usually at home in bed and being looked after by their carer's, or husbands. What do you do when you knock an old Dear down, take her to the nearest hospital, or send for an ambulance. If you don't, it is called hit and run here and you can be in serious trouble when the Police catch up with you. Anyway, drive carefully this New Years Eve, and keep a look out for any old Dears that might be about on your roads. Just saying.

This old DEAR will be at home by a nice warm fire. 🔥 A fireplace is a MUST HAVE to survive our cold winters.

Post pictures. That's as close as I want to get. As long as I have a stocked fridge, no place to go, a working tv, and some good books, I am good to go! The next five days are going to be GLORIOUS...just me, myself, and I. I get to do whatever I want!!

We have a woodstove in the living room, does that count ?
Only used it twice so far this year.
It's been too warm so far, or the cold days fall when we're not going to be home that day.

Nothing like a lit Christmas tree and a warm, glowing fireplace in the same room. We refuse to put a tv in here. This is where we sit and talk to each other. We do have a stereo for music.

I just want to run out and make a snow , but that would require getting out of my pajamas, so NO.
