Staying in, going out?
We always stay in, sit by the fire and relax, have a nice dinner. This year is going to be different though because hubby has an early flight the next day and I am driving him to the airport. It will be early to bed on NY Eve.

Just the same has usual, not celebrated the New Year for awhile now. Mrs Jack and I will be watching the Telly, and welcome the new year with a cup of coffee. Mrs Jack will probably be asleep by 10pm, she has a routine, and never deviates from it. Hope you all had a good Christmas and have a good prosperous New Year. Just saying.

I haven't gone out for New Year's Eve in quite some time. I think the last time was the time I ended up puking in my underwear! Don't ask! So, it'll be just a quiet night in. I'll broil and filet or perhaps some lobster. That'll be it.

How does one puke in their underwear?

did you puke INTO your underwear or were you dressed only IN your underwear when you puked?
i usually have the Twilight Zone marathon on SYFY channel. this show scared the stuff out of me as a kid. it was on friday nights and i would watch with best friend...4 houses down. the walk home after watching seemed like 40 houses and frequently ended as a sprint!
not going anywhere but will be eating my way into 2020! thinking a nice pile of boiled shrimp... with plenty of Old Bay and a cocktail sauce with so much horseradish that it's pink. a lobster might be nice if the seafood guy will dismember the beast for me.

Don't eat a lot but I eat to live so never get tired of eating the bit I do eat. Never over indulge at Christmas or New Year either, that is how people happen to puke in their underwear, or what ever they happen to be wearing at the time. Just saying
PS, if you had a crap Christmas, then I hope you have a better New Year, just saying,

I will be home, pretending that I am not there. I absolutely HATE New Year's Eve!!! I don't want to see anyone and I don't want to listen to the noise at midnight.

I am thinking of reviving a tradition we did when DSS was younger. Going to the movies then eating Chinese takeout on the living room floor, picnic style (on plates, not the actual floor). Then watching the ball drop.

New Year’s Eve and Fourth of July are not my favorites either due to the noise. my sister and bil have 2 rescued/adopted dogs that lose what little minds they have at noise. a summer t-storm is traumatic. fireworks are really tough. they will be dressed in their "thunder shirts" all day/night... just in case.
