we rarely, if ever, have snow for Christmas. best chance is for later in January and February. we don't often get enough to even be much more than a bother. school usually has delayed openings so we aren't out making traffic worse. if we do have a "snow day", it's best on a Friday or Monday. you have to do a special dance for one of those... preferably in green underpants.
i HAVE to go to the supermarket in advance! i'm not a member of The French Toast Club but it's fun people watching. as long as i have TP, good snacks& beverages... i'll survive.

You can keep that white stuff on that side of the river. It looks pretty but then you have to shovel it.
However, if you are offering to shovel instead me...

I agree, jlbear71, I love snow but boy do I hate to shovel it. Typically, with Hippie Chick, I don't have to. I just drive over the snow banks!

the weather people LOVE to whip people into a frenzy. here in the Philly area, a storm is generally no more than a nuisance. have only have ONE storm i can remember that snowed us in(7 houses on small cul de sac). snow was easily hip deep and not even drive-able with neighbors old reliable Ford pick-up. township plows didn't get to us for a whole 36 hours... felt like days!
when forecast is for real gonna snow its butt off... i prep. i make sure i have good snacks, a good beverage or 2, TP and pet food.
sister has hot tub at her mountain place. i can't think of anything more relaxing that simmering, while gazing up at the stars... or while flakes are falling.

I don't. It was 71 on Christmas day, doesn't get any batter than that.
