I'm guessing nothing will happen to Mike McQueary given the above. I'm sorry but, IMO, McQueary should be fired as well. He was, I believe, 28 when he witnessed this and at that age, should know enough to stop the act and report it to police; not Paterno. If Mike McQueary is permitted to stay on the staff at Penn State, I will have lost total faith in the school and the criminal justice system.

The trouble here is that there are two wrongs being considered. One is legal and one is moral. Legally, McQuery is in the clear. He saw something and reported it to his superior, who in turn reported it to his superior. Thus neither of them is legally in the wrong. But morally, both are. McQueary should have intervened on the side of the boy and Paterno should have followed up on his report to see that something was being done to investigate Sandusky and bring him to justice. That was a moral obligation which he didn't perform.
