That's about all it lasts, isn't it?
I used to do the whole Resolution thing but don't any more. I just usually set myself up for failure! However, I'm going to do my best to quit smoking!

Times iv`e heard that------huh! tell you something for nothing, me as an ex smoker (result of a triple by-pass) i quit, courtesy of the surgeon, just as he was leaving after the opp, he said as an afterthought, when i was inside you i dont just do the by-pass ,i have a poke around -----------and the top of your left lung!! looks like the balloon thats gone down in the corner at Christmas all wrinkled, well if you stop now it wont get better but it wont get worse----needles to say i quit. My point is that was 5 years ago ---now i can smell a ciggy from quite a long way off, from the front to the back of the house, so in a nice way you S T I N K when you smoke

I know pod. I did quit for like two months and the smell drove me nuts. Even now, when I walk from my bedroom to the front of the apartment, I can smell it and I hate it. I have a prescription from the Dr. for Chantix to help me quit. It worked before and I was weak and allowed stress to get to me and started again. I've been smoking for 43 years and it's just time to stop now. I need to take better care of myself; not to mention the $ I'll save. And . . . I love you too! ;D

My resolution is to take up smoking again. It’s gonna be tough and take all of my will power but I really will try this time.

The trick is to find a reason to quit smoking that really sinks into the head, like the health of someone so very close to you. It seemed that me, myself, and I, was never really worth the effort... Good luck to you FS, it makes an extreme difference when you finally get there... I have no resolutions, I've pretty much got things under control...

I'm going to help little old ladies cross the road...... I'm going to give up gun running... and base jumping. ..or not take it up, which is the same thing. Oh... and I'm going to lose my virginity.

My new years resolution is to stop wondering if i am going to make it to the next new year, and to wonder if i will make it to the next day instead. Patience as never been my strong point, and i have never been good at looking ahead, now i never book holidays in advance, it would break my heart if i died before hand and lost my deposit. I gave up smoking in April 1974, Callahan, the then Chancellor of the Exchequer put up the price of cigarettes by 7 pence. Nothing to do with new year resolutions, to help me to get by, Mrs Jack worked in a sweet factory, brought me sweets called gob stoppers to suck. It helped to stop the craving, but there was a side effect, i put on a couple of stone in weight. With weight you can lose it, but not the crap in your lungs, i got back to my fighting weight of twelve stones and seven pounds in twelve months after i had stopped smoking. Ex-smokers hate the smell of tobacco smoke more than non smokers, and the stench that comes off people who smoke clothes is horrendous, my nostrils are sensitive to that too.
