Yes we like it thanks flying horse Ill call over and see your pics.
Bluebells are last week in May Pip and there is a woodland full of them 500 yards from here....Ive even put some in my garden although you aren't supposed to really. They are nestled among very tall trees and the whole place is enchanting when they are in bloom.
I have a meadow out the back here that is full of cows and when I look out of the front window I can see heather covered hills rolling in the distance.
History...well we have Romans, Vikings, various battles from wars over kings and queens.... You can also find flint arrowheads from the stone age when I lived in East Anglia and some of our cliff faces have fossils.
Its not a bad place to be.

Spell, I lived in the middle of a wood in the Uk, called Birchwood, and every year we had the white crocus, folowed by the blue bells, you had to cross a cattle grid off the road, drive over a rough track across the field, cross another cattle grid, and enter our garden to the house in the woods. I think its the greaness I miss, Spain is lovelly, but dry and scrubby, lol although very pretty when the almonds are all in blossom, row after row of trees. lol

Your house sounds idillic Pip....Sylvanian in the middle of a wood.
We have the greeness at the moment here.. and its lovely but lets not forget that half of the year is grey cold and desolate. We have the greeness...but you have the Sun....so its a fair exchange.
