Its a point actually.....People are raging on the blogs blaming Bobby Brown.....but that isnt the way it works. Addicts tend to gravitate towards others that are the same....The same thing happened with Amy Winehouse and Blake. It would be nice to believe that she had been blameless and lead astray....but I suspect that's not the way it happened.

Well, we can shrug, and say "so sad, too bad", move on to the next one. Or, we can really look at society and really address the hold and tragedy and terrror this is perpetrating on all of us. There are so many talented , young people who are getting trapped in this morass. We have to find a way to address what is happening.

Well, too bad for you Tosh. I am sure she was loved by her family and children. I cannot look upon the tragedy of others and walk away unaffected.

Sad, but what drives these people to drug abuse and in some cases alcohol abuse. How is it they never listen or learn from other stars downfalls. Stars like Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey, Frank Sinatra never got hooked on drugs or alcohol, probably liked a drink but do/did it in moderation. Frankie lived to a good old age, Tom and Shirley are getting there with a load of other stars, they have all heared the word moderation. If the pressure is to much for them, then pack it in and get a day job.

I did not know the woman or her family, her death was not a tragedy to me.
I save my empathy for real tragedies and for people I really know.

I'll admit to being sad over her death but... Are we sympathising with her family, with a sort of human empathy from afar?......None of us knew her after all. Or are we selfishly regretting that she will no longer be bringing the songs that we loved into our homes?...which seems kind of shallow.

Neither. I only liked one of her songs and don’t know anything about her family.

I personally have empathy for her family because growing up and listening to her is what I remember. She really hasn't come out with anything new lately. So, yes, it is her family I empathize for and I do miss her of course.

Oh...that's a tranquiliser.... and really shouldn't be mixed with alcohol.
I'll bet there will be sad faces at the grammys tonight.
