I take Klonopin, which is also the same thing as Xanax, Spell...and yes, it is very dangerous to mix the 2. She had probably drank a good amount and who knows how many of the Xanax she may have taken. I will be curious as to what the autopsy will confirm.

I saw her daughter has been hospitalized...didn't read the story, so I don't know the reason...stress perhaps?!? Poor thing.

She was a favorite singer of mine...right up there with Adele and Christina. I have her greatest hits cd. Sad, but not unexpected. Nothing in Hollywood surprises me anymore. We can only hope this will be a wake-up call for Heather Locklear, Demi Moore, Lindsay Lohan, and others who have substance abuse issues. Seriously...I know it must be difficult to kick the habit, but I would try my darndest for my kids. Easy for me to say though...I haven't been in their shoes. I only hope Tosh sees this and gives up his "dots."

I'll admit to being sad over her death but... Are we sympathising with her family, with a sort of human empathy from afar?......None of us knew her after all. Or are we selfishly regretting that she will no longer be bringing the songs that we loved into our homes?...which seems kind of shallow. Just because you don't know someone doesnt' mean you don't feel the common bond of human suffering. I find it painful to listen to the news everyday hearing tragedy after tragedy. I guess as a human being i find it painful. As for her records or recordings, i don't have any of her music. I appreciate she was a great talent. But, i just think it is a tragedy of our humanness. And, i find it incredibly sad for her daughter.

I was totally broken hearted at Whitney's death...unfortunately enough, I wasnt surprised. I have loved Whitney ever since the first time I had seen her sing, she had the most powerful pipes!! Ever since she hooked up with Bobby Brown, her life went steadily downhill. I know its not fair to blame bobby, but he had a good handle on it, he introduced Whitney to the life of drugs...RIP WHITNEY, I WILL FOREVER LOVE YOU!!

I guess there is some notion that if you cause your own demise, then you are not worthy of being mourned. Knowing that someone is harming themselves may not make their death surprising. But, i don't see how people can be so cold and callous. Addiciton is a huge elephant in the room in this country. People don't set out trying to become addicted. And, a lot of people are addicted because of prescription medicine, they weren't seeking out some "high" but seeking treatment from a medical doctor for a real condition and problem. And, drugs have helped and do help alot of people but can also harm.

Actually, i am getting a little tired of people telling me i shouldn't "care" about celebrities or indictments of pop culture. For some reason, i guess it is OK to care about sports, the SuperBowl, World Series, or whatever but you are not supposed to care about singers/ actors.

One point, apparently Whitney was at a party and seen disheveled and out of it at a party. How do we know that someone didn't spike her drink with something? It has happened before. I think the facts need to come in before everyone rushes to a verdict. But, even so, i heard she was on valium, xanax, and ativan. Why in the world would she be on basically the same thing in three different versions? That seems suspect.

Maybe she had more than one doctor, most addicts do. Doctor shopping is the IN thing amongst addicts these days. Mixing alcohol with these drugs is most likely what did her in. With the amount of years she's been using (read she was using in her late teens) her body was most likely not up to par. It's too bad those around her were in denial. When she was at this party her so called friends should have been taking her aside and talking some sense into her, it was obvious she was relapsing. She's not the first and sad to say she won't be the last.

Did you see Bobby Brown was out gambling and partyng the night of Whitney's funeral. And, what about their daughter? He doesn't seem to care anything for her or he would be with her in her hour of need. Instead, i guess he is too busy touring and lining his pocket to care about his daughter and to help her through this. And, what a sleaze. He apparently is also going to write a book. Oh goodies. At least let Whitney's body assume room temp before you cash in on her flesh, Bobby you disgusting human.

Whitney. Like most folks.. Lived with regrets over past known and unknown to others, mistakes and bad decisions. I hope both Bobby's, ex-husband and daughter, who were in Whitney's life, somehow become the best in life they can become and defy the many odds, seemingly, against them now.. Whitney's living voice will be missed..

Well said Heart....
In spite of everything that went wrong for her, she was a talented lady...and a loving Mother..
I watched the Service held for Whitney in her local Baptist Church, from beginning to end, on TV...and it was only spoiled momentarily by Bobby Brown looking for attention, and having to be asked to leave...Writing a book wouldn't supprise me with that horrible man, cash in where you can...I suppose... R.I.P. Whitney
