who want to give free advice?
What is the cost for a discrimination suit, and what are the grounds? I mean how hard is it to prove?
Let's say it's a larger company that is not quite nationwide but has stores in about 16 states.

Beags, I'm not sure how hard it is to prove. Is your state an "at will" state? Here where I am an employer can fire you if he / she doesn't like the color of your socks on any given day!
Not knowing the particulars of the situation, it's hard to say!

I'm not sure what our state has. I have never heard of that one though. But it seems if there is no union they can get rid of you for anything.

They'll lay for you... Eventually they will find a reason/way around any state or local laws.

Let me give some advice. My mom sued her company for sex discrimination back in the 70s. She Won the suit and got a few thousand bucks and lost her job and was never able to find another job in her field. So you better carefully consider that.

Thank you fuzzems, that's what I was afraid of. It's just amazing that not much has changed since then.
