Savannah Location: Hayward, California. Breed: a 4 week old Tabby
Savannah was found with her sister, Venus, behind a building at the nature center I work at. Her mother was a feral cat, so she wasn’t allowed to keep them. I am raising them until they are 8 weeks and then one of my friends is adopting them.

Raven was abandoned by her mother and I am doing my best to take her place! This is my first time taking care of an orphan kitten so I look forward to getting much needed advice.

Charlie Location: Centerburg, Ohio. Breed: almost 2 years old
Charlie appeared here shortly after adopting us as a very wet, cold, lost kitten rescued from a Columbus Ohio back yard one October evening and has become the finest kitty we have ever had. Yesterday he became a hero. A broody hen hatched 3 chicks, and dispite our efforts to the protect them, she immediately brought them out and about to the yard. We had little hope for their safety, what with 20 cats around the house and barns, but she taught each cat, guinea, and goose that her chicks were off limits, and after three weeks, they are following mama chicken everywhere. Yesterday, I observed Charlie come from the ornamental pond at the patio carrying a bird by its wing feathers. It was one of the baby chicks which had fallen in the pond and was very wet, cold, and totally soaked. Charlie proceeded down the walk and laid the chick down about 4 feet from the mother hen, backed up and laid there watching. Since the chick was obviously in distress, I gathered it up, brought it to the house, and dried and warmed it with paper towels and a hair dryer. After resting in a box for about an hour, I took the chick newly named Soggy to the greenhouse where mama hen spends the night with the chicks and released it back to her care. She showed no appreciation for rescuing her baby, being ferocious as I placed the chick back with her, but Soggy gladly accepted her warm embrace, and this morning is out and about with mama hen and her other two chicks, seemingly none the worse for it’s experience. Charlie never left a mark on the baby chick, and truly seemed to have no intent other than returning it to it’s mother.

Lucky Location: Chillicothe, Ohio. Breed: 2 weeks old kitten
My ex-husband was never an animal person. So when he bought a kitten, that was only a couple of days old to me I was baffled to say the least. He had found it abandoned, along with 3 dead siblings upstairs in an old house he’d just purchased. The kitten was barely alive. Quickly we ran to the store to buy formula and a kitten bottle. And this tiny grey puffball entered our lives. My ex-husband even cared enough to spring for the formula. LOL

Tinsy Location: India Breed: a 2 and a half month old Maine Coon
Hi, these are the pictures of Tinsy, whom I recently discovered was a Maine Coon (thanks to JoanfromNewJersey for pointing it out). She is a gentle kitten normally, but gets feisty and notorious when playful.

Soleil Location: Oneonta, Alabama. Breed: a 9 weeks old Domestic Shorthair
My boyfriend was on his way to work in the evening when he saw a tiny kitten jump from a bush on the side of the road (he lives on an unpaved road). He stopped and looked and picked up a tiny orange striped kitten, a male. He looked quickly for others but had to get to work. He dropped the kitten at my house and in the morning stopped at the same place and looked again. This time he found two calico and striped girls.
So after a trip to the vet he brought them all back to me. I found a home for one of the girls and decided to keep the other two. This is my little beauty, Soleil. She and her brother, Prince Harry, bring my cat total to five! Big brother Obi (TDK last July) loves them so much!

Cosmo Location: Los Osos, California. Greed: a 8 weeks old domestic shorthair
This little guy was found wandering around the deserted downtown next to the Fresno Grizzlies baseball field after a game. I couldn’t just leave him there and he let me pick him up and drive him back to the coast. Unfortunately, my cat, Molly, was not pleased so I gave him to a friend who recently lost two of her three cats and it was love at first sight. Her remaining cat, Bodie, is not sure about the idea, but he’s used to being with other cats and should come around. Plus, I can visit! Cosmo is quite self-sufficient and plays with anything and everything.

Polly & Callie Location: Missouri Breed: these sisters are 6 week old Calico Longhairs
My kittens are sisters from the same litter. Polly, the darker kitten, is the runt of her litter of three, and is slowly catching up to big sister Callie.
They are rambunctious and loving. Their names are short for polygon and calculus, their momma being a math teacher
