From Miss Who . . .
If you store onions in the fridge, your eyes wont water when you peel and chop them.

Like creamy cold potato salad but hate adding so much mayonnaise? Make potato salad the day before eating, using mayonaise as usual, and next day simply add small amounts of water to salad and stir, adding water as needed, until desired consistancy. Add salt and pepper, mustard, etc until it tastes like you want it too! I love making it this way and my family always loves my creamy potato salad.

Stick your head in the freezer for a few seconds. The cold air from the freezer will stop your eyes watering. This is not a joke it really does work.

You should put that link under useful links, too, IIF.

LMAO!! I am picturing it...if I have to go to all that trouble for onions, I'll pay extra and buy them pre-chopped at the store. lol

Club soda is great for cleaning spills off of carpet. Just pour over stain, let it bubble and raise the stain to the surface, blot gently with a white lint free cloth or paper towels.

From a dermatologist: Use clear nail polish and apply several times a day as long as needed to skin tags...they will get brittle after days/weeks and simply fall off...saves money from having the Dr. remove them.
Apply pieces of duct tape to warts...they will peel away and disappear in NO TIME!!

They are not very nice and go a bit soggy when frying.

These are great hints for minimising effort output. 1 Always place ironing in a prominent position as a consatant reminder to do it. 2 watch the dust daily gathering on the mantlepiece, upon which the many ornaments displayed there are also attracting the dust. 3 After a week or two of observing the above, gather up the ironing and lay it neatly under the sofa cushions, and leave for two days. This has two benefits.
a) the sagging springs of the sofa stop sagging b) the clothes are all pressed without even getting the ironing board out.
To solve the 'dust' problem, open the windows wide on a windy day. Failing that, close the door on all of it and go out for a little retail therapy. Happy housework folks :-)

If you peel by the stove with an open flame, you will not cry. However, be careful as your eyes may water if you burn yourself!

A butterfly or moth, sprayed with WD40, makes an excellent hang-glider for woodlice.
