Pat Robertson says Tebow 'SNL' skit an 'attack on Christianity'"There's an anti-Christian bigotry that is just disgusting," said Robertson on CBN, the Christian Broadcasting Network. “If this had been a Muslim country and they had done that, and had Muhammad doing that stuff, you would have found bombs being thrown off ... and bodies in the street. And we think it's OK."crapthenameescapesme.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=god&action=postHmm, perhaps Christian terror bombing will be next? Perhaps a more appropriate title: "Pat Robertson's attack on SNL an attack on free speech."

I think free speech is limited even in the West - just that it is approached differently than how the Islamic radicals may tackle the issue/s.

Turning the other cheek is a phrase in Christian doctrine that refers to responding to an aggressor without violence. The phrase originates from the Sermon on the Mount in the New Testament.
In the Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus says: You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you. —Matthew 5:38-42, NIV
In the Sermon on the Plain[1] in the Gospel of Luke, Jesus says: 27 ¶ But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. 29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also. 30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. 31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

I saw this skit.. it was goofy/funny.. I did not see it as an attack. I saw it as making fun of the media for making such a big deal out of what Tbow does. He hasn't been the first and certainly will not be the last. I have seen baseball players do the sign of the cross before batting. Its not a big deal.. and its been done for years. The media is the one;s going nuts over it.. IMO, they need to Shut up... and start reporting the real news and leave our Football alone!
