Is it me or is this movie all about kids killing kids? And the world wonders why violence is going on in schools and everywhere else.
Its a no brainer.
Your thoughts?

Hunger Games Cast Subjected to Racist Attacks in Shocking Tweets
Actors Amandla Stenberg and Dayo Okeniyi definitely hit it big when they landed the roles of Rue and Thresh, respectively, in The Hunger Games.
But the relative unknowns playing tributes from District 11 in the dystopian saga (which scored a historic $155 million its opening weekend and rave reviews) are the subject of an offensive debate among a few, totally clueless fans of Suzanne Collins' blockbuster young adult novel, as pointed out at Jezebel.
Why? Although both Rue and Thresh are described as having "dark brown skin" in the book, some bigoted fans, oddly enough, object that both Stenberg and Okeniyi are black.
Complained one fan on Twitter: "Why does rue have to be black not gonna lie kinda ruined the movie."

I read about that last night & it's just so sad how so many break everything down to race. We really haven't come as far as we think we have.

I agree, Steff. Unfortunately, we haven't. I just don't understand it sometimes.

I'm absolutely more worried about the black teens I know now than I was before. I also better understand why they avoid certain towns and areas.
They are just kids, like my kid and other kids. They aren't a threat just because they are black.

I couldn't agree more. The color of one's skin is not a determinant to behavior.
We are one of the most advanced nations in the world and still face this non-sense daily.
