Ez, Mark. Good to see you man. I admired your tenacity on the last furlong there. The whole thing came unravelled so quickly that I wondered whether there was actually a jumper there in the first place, or whether it was just a big jumble of wool somehow hanging in the cyber-ether.
Regards.

Hey, hello and goodnite, Piff. Nice to see you made it across here. Speak to you again.
Hey again, Forever Sunshine. Some of us have been posting together for a little while. I seem to recognise a few names from other forums as well here - cvor I recall from somewhere else. I recognise you from somewhere as well, actually. Maybe the original MSN UK board?

I say no to NOMA. It goes back to my last post......it is arbitrary. Anyone is a visionary or prophet. Anyone can be a god. Anyone can declare they know what god wants. There is no form of check and balance. The concept of ultimate meaning in religious terms was created by religion and they declare themselves under NOMA to be the autority on it. Why are they assuming there is an ultimate meaning? Its all circular reasoning. They don't have to prove anything to anyone...yet make many detailed and far reaching claims. Why stop at god? Why stop at god...should we have this approach for other things too? Feel free to explain why you are an advocate and I'll respond. Can you put this approach into action so I can comment? After all...when u say God...I have no idea what ur talking about. Lets start from tthe beginning.

Hi marco,
You, I believe, raise an important point here. Should we perhaps start our own board do you think? Should we, otherwise, at least seek assurances that this board is run by reasonably sane people? Personally, I wasted enough time on (the now defunct) MSN and then on Terrible Ivan's board. I don't particularly relish the thought of making the same mistake again; do you? No offence to our hosts intended of course; but 'once' (or more) 'bitten, twice shy.'
Go well.

We've just been released from a 30 year stretch in a gulag camp in outer Siberia, for speaking against our leader. We learnt good english in that time though. Hello Sunshine and thanks for the invite to your forum. So, there's no telling what ya'll will do since you've been paroled! I see. Did you learn anything from your 30-year stretch? Hi, Dom. You're very welcome! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I don't seem to recognize yours. Sorry!

Isn't 'NOMA' "the beginning"? Can we - or can you, if you prefer - actually supply a reasonable definition of that about whose (for want of a better identifier) existence, or non-existence, we might then discuss?

'Should we perhaps start our own board do you think?'
We've confused the hosts collectively a bit .. i for one assumed wrongly this was a virgin zone nu board place put up by one of us just from the link i was given, .. otherwise I'd not have joked quite as i did. I really do not know on that one Royston .. unless its done just in case .. we could after all know where to go if something goes wrong.
We could not even describe the state of the person that ran the other forum, or show why a crowd arrived like this .. although I'm sure there must be a few posters in common. Lol looks very sane and respectable
Sunshine when you read this .. we have our reasons for pitching up suddenly. We are generally a peaceful crowd that first migrated from MSN boards after that closed down, and we went to a proboard that a poster started. That proboard has been run like a mafia.
All we do generally, apart from the ordinary chat, is discuss science religion and philosophy from the context of the thread title. Rightly or wrongly during its life, the thread has had a huge amount of posts and views overall, hence we've chatted for some time.

I totally understand and when spellbound PMd me I was more than happy to say yes and have you all here. I've been on a few "mafia" boards myself and it's not fun, is it? I've migrated to more boards than I can count and don't want to any more. This is it for me. Although I visit a few from time to time; this is home now.
I hope you'll find I'm not a hovering moderator. I tend to let things play out. We're all adults and, as such, I believe we have a choice to be respectful to each other. I think, if there is a disagreement, people can and should work it out between them. I will only moderate if need be or asked.
It's nice to see you all getting along and discussing. I may not participate much, but I love reading about the topics you've mention, particularly philosophy.
Feel free to wander into any thread and make yourself at home.
Enjoy!

Hello again Forever Sunshine. Yes we do try to place nice; the topic, I think, sometimes invites passionate discourse. I look forward to having a few more theists around to balance the discussion up a bit. Ha, yes, well on the MSN UK boards I was posting as InnerSpaceAstronaut too, but I’m probably not that memorable, so *sniff*… ya know… *sniff* no worries! Perchance can I be permitted to call you 'Funshine'? Regards.

Thank you Sunshine Yes Spell took a little fire i think, .. thankfully not much, and was moderating in good faith during difficult circumstances. Her last act of moderation was for the people she chose i see.
