"Lincoln Lawyer"
As always, Matthew McConaughey is easy on the eyes and does a decent acting job. Ryan Phillippe plays a guy you love to hate quite well. Marisa Tomei doesn't disappoint either. Good legal story...kept me interested, moves along. Francis Fisher has a good supporting role as Phillippe's character's Mom. I'd rate it above average/very good.

I heard that one was good, moxie. I have to Netflix that.
Thanks for starting the thread, Forever! Now I just have to get out and see one so I can add it, lol.

Me too, The last one I saw was the last installment of Pirates. Before that, it was some animated movie with the gkids. It's rare when I go see a non-animated movie any more.

Hmm, yeh, I hardly get to go to the movies myself. It's so expensive around here, and all the food and drinks are so expensive too. Think the last thing I went to see was Avatar in 3D, which I liked, but mainly 'cos it was in 3D. I probably won't go again until that 'Battleship' film comes out next year. www.imdb.com/title/tt1440129/

Bridesmaids is LOL funny. It's a little profane (not appropriate for 12-year-olds) but it's the best comedy that I've seen in a long time.
Larry Crowne is not so funny but it's appealing because it has Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts in it. They're always worth watching. I paid full price but it might be worth waiting until it's on at the bargain movies.

I hear "Limitless" with Bradley Cooper is good. Anyone seen "Horrible Bosses" at the theater yet? If you are a dog lover, rent "Hachi, A Dog's Tale." Amazing, true story...heartwarming.

I love Hachi: A Dog's Tale! The Hallmark channel runs it periodically. I have to have a box of tissues when I watch that movie. And it's a true story! Awesome!

Yeah - I want to see Cowboys and Aliens. The write up wasn't so hot but that doesn't always mean anything - so I'm still in! Now I just have to find the time to go and see it, lol.

[purple]Since I just saw Thor and Harry Potter, and plan to go see Take Shelter next month and the next Twilight movie in November, I'd have to find a spare kidney to sell to be able to fit this one in... [/purple]

"Limitless" was good. Not GREAT, but good. IMO An unusual story line, but interesting. Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro and Abbie Cornish star. I'd give it three out of five stars.

View more MSN videosGo to Sony Pictures It would be easy -- no, make that it is easy -- to deplore, or at least strongly object to, the new, ostensibly envelope-pushing comedy "30 Minutes or Less" on morals/taste grounds right off the bat, without even seeing it. After all, its premise -- pizza delivery guy is forced to rob a bank because depraved criminals have strapped a live, remote-controlled bomb to his upper torso -- is pretty much photocopied from a real-life crime of 2003 that ended with the death of the victim of the kidnapping and bomb-strapping, and said crime was not funny in the least. HILARIOUS!!!from start to finish! there is no mention this movie is based on true events

I watched a movie series yesterday on the Hallmark channel called, "Talking to Heaven" with Ted Danson and Mary Steenbergen. Made in 2002, it's four hours split in two and I would recommend it to anyone. It's a suspense with Ted playing a psychic and Mary as the detective. Very well done I thought. I'm not a suspense or thriller type movie gal but this one held my interest.

I heard the same about The Help.
I went to see the new Steve Carell/Julianne Moore movie on Saturday. It was excellent but I can never remember the title because it wasn't as excellent as the movie. Really, it was much more than your usual light romantic comedy.
