I'm sorry that I missed the Steenburgen-Danson movie. I like them and I was probably watching an episode of Law & Order which I've already memorized.
I went to see The Help, today. As I said on SATORI, I loved the performances, the clothing and the cars but I thought that it was a less-than-excellent film. It was a little repetitive and could have used tighter direction, imo. It's worth a full price ticket though.

Just Go With it did turn out to be funny. The way Sandler character was being play by the other family was epic! when the boy said he didn't know how to swim! I was in tears! but after all is said and done it's more of a chick flick comedy!

I just watched "Rise of the Planet of the Apes". Great flick, actually better than the original.

I went to see Dolphin Tale yesterday. It was pretty good. Harry Connick, Jr., is looking very good these days.

Bridesmaids is LOL funny. It's a little profane (not appropriate for 12-year-olds) but it's the best comedy that I've seen in a long time.
Larry Crowne is not so funny but it's appealing because it has Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts in it. They're always worth watching. I paid full price but it might be worth waiting until it's on at the bargain movies. I thought Bridesmaids was hilarious .... and the bride agreed. For a real sleeper, Netflix subscribers should look up "Scarecrow" with Gene Hackman and Al Pacino, as young men (relatively speaking). Hackman is a riot ....

I'm really looking forward to seeing the remake of "The Thing". I absolutely loved the 1981 version with Kurt Russell. It was riveting and a well made film.....certainly as far as it pertains to horror films. It was probably one of my favorites, along with Salems Lot.

"Contagion" was so-so but it had a great cast and locations. The plot was really flat.

I was going to see J. Edgar this weekend but since Clint Eastwood praised Herman Cain, I've changed my mind. I'm still going to see it but I'll wait until it's at the dollar movie house.
I hadn't heard anything about Mega Mind but I'll look for it, moonlightlover.

Bridesmaids was super funny!! The best comedy I've seen in a LONG time!
We watched "Date Night" last week - it wasn't nearly as funny, but still ok...

I have to agree that bridesmaids was indeed hysterical! Would you all hate me if I admitted that I thoroughly enjoyed Breaking Dawn, Part I....

I'm not a Twilight fan myself but the reviews haven't been good. What did you like about it?

I saw Descendants with George Clooney yesterday. It was a complicated movie, some comedy, some pathos. Excellent acting and beautiful scenery for the most part. It wasn't a "feel good" movie, imo, but my friend and I were both glad that we saw it.
