I don't blame them. It's been an absolutely terrific series of movies with lots of action but no blood and guts.

I couldn't post on the MSN boards yesterday so I created a new account. Now I can't post with that one either and what I did post has been deleted. I give up...

Peg, the massive heat wave . . . . we have sold out of all but 3 of our air conditioners at work. They were just flying off the shelves today. I don't work that department, but I brought 10 people there within a half hour.

My daughter and her friends went to see that movie this afternoon. She said it was a good movie. BTW that's what she says about almost every movie. She only seems to go nuts over Broadway musicals.

:)Good afternoon IIF& Wingnut & beags from Tuxy and me Today is 198th day of 2011 with 167 days left in the year. 8-)Today in central New York at 8:03 a.m. it's fair , temp 79ºF (feels like 77ºF), winds NNW @ 8 mph, humidity 32% and pressure 30.06 in and steady. Today - sunny skies, high 84ºF. winds NW @ 5-10 mph, chance of rain 0%. Warm and pleasant, but like the rest of the country, we need rain.
Today's Headlines of Interest. 1. BREAKING NEWS: former top executive in News Corp. Rebekah Brooks arrested in hacking probe. The apologies keep on coming as Murdoch took out a second ad Sunday promising Britons that New Corp. will make amends for the scandal shaking his global media business. Britain's opposition leader called for new laws to stop one man from owning such a big part (37%) of the national media. <It's about time!!>
2. Heat wave hits hard plunging much of the US into a deep fryer. Fiery reds and oranges nearly cover the US on meteorologist maps as a massive heat wave hit hard in much of the country and the weekend heat punished the US, breaking nearly 900 heat records for July.
3. More illegal immigrants from India crossing US-Mexico border. At some point this year, border-jumpers from the subcontinent will account for about 1 in 3 non-Mexicans caught in Texas, using an 11,000 mile network that smuggles 1000s from India, through Central America and Mexico over the sandy banks of the Rio Grande .
4. Al-Qaida-linked militants let aid back into Somalia. Al-Shabab had banned agencies, but it's forced to relent in face of the terrible drought and the UN has begun delivering aid to their areas - a testament to the severity of the drought devastating East Africa
5. LOCAL NEWS: Microbreweries and brew pubs make their way into wine country. The Finger Lakes wine country is now becoming a destination for craft beer lovers, too. "You wine country is awesome," says John Harrison of Houston, Tex., a first time visitor to New York who gave the Two Goats' cream ale two thumbs up. "But I'm coming back for the beer." Besides New Goat Brewing on Seneca Lake, other new microbreweries include Naked Dove Brewing in Canandaigua, Rogue's Harbor Brewing outside Ithaca, Cortland Beer Co. in Cortland, Finger Lakes Beer Co. outside of Hammondsport and Roc Brewing in Rochester. Future brewers are eyeing Geneva, Auburn and other spots according to the Brewers' Association website. Two craft beer lovers from the Ithaca area have created an online clearinghouse of information - fingerlakesbeertrail.com. All tourists are welcome!!
;)Have a super Sunday everyone.

IIF - - you're here!! Great. I've missed your posts. And with your tech expertise, you'll have no problems learning how to post your puppy pics so we can keep sending freekibbles to animal shelters. Now, :-[I do have problems. Sometimes I can get it to work and sometimes I can't. :oI think MSN is slowly trying to drive its posters mad. I've just about given up. They've just closed down the Canadian TV boards so the UK posters are on the hunt again. They've arrived at Lifestyles because of who, but with the invasion of Free & rk etc. posting threads at a rate of 4-5 a day, it's getting harder and harder to find our threads. And with you gone, IIF, it's just not worth the trouble. Beags- -do you have sus's e-mail? If you do, send her a link to this board and tell her who's here already.

Will it be OK if I reconstitue my poetry thead and quotations? BTW: how do you get your avatars? I did it once months ago for Capt Sparrow's probaord but have forgotten how I did it. You'll need to copy the URL of the pic you want. Then, go to your profile, modify profile and scroll down. You'll see an area for avatar. Remember to see the size at like 100 x 100. You can also add signatures, etc. If you need help, provide me the URL and I can do it for you.
