Since Obama is going to try to ban guns, now seems like an ideal time to buy and also as an investment? I really don't know that much about guns but i am thinking either an AR 15 or a handgun.

i am thinking either an AR 15 or a handgun. I ordered two AR-15's on Dec 17.....It took 3 weeks for delivery.....During that three weeks, the wait time increased to fourteen months.....The gun shop I bought from is no longer taking orders for AR-15's because they can't guarantee delivery.....Beautiful guns by the way.

What type of ammo do they shoot? I am sure Obama will find a way to stop ammo production so how many rounds to purchase?

Walmart said they are going to stop selling Ammo. I guess they realize they are in the Obama crosshairs so now they have to play suck up.

I'd suggest a nice little handgun. I bought a little 25 Colt many years ago for something like 100 dollars. I love it. It's easy to conceal and carry. It can fit in a pocket. I recently saw a used one in a gun shop, selling for $750, so I guess it was a good investment.

I was thinking of getting a nice revolver probably a 22. I think 22 ammo would be easier to get.

I have over 2000 rounds of .223 ammo that I have bought up over the years....I don't own a .22 We are well stocked with ammo for each cal. rifle and pistol that we own. Save your .22 spent brass.....The owner of the gun shop in my town told me that reloaders are buying spent .22 brass to make the jacket on .223 bullets.

It might be worth more than gold before long. DH wants to know who the .22 brass would work for the .223 jackets.

DH wants to know who the .22 brass would work for the .223 jackets. A .22 and a .223 bullet are the same diameter.....You would cut the bottom rim off the .22 brass. Here is a link The first I heard of this was last week, so I am not sure how many people are doing it....You would need to have a reloader.

Well, Obama unvielied his new laws. Apparently HIS children are much MORE important than YOUR children. He can have his children protected by guns but we can't.

I think any gun that works will have value. He doesn't realize it but he is really creating a great gun market. I wish they had Gun mutual funds that i could buy.

Well, i am definitely going to gun shop tomorrow to buy something! My personal preference would be a automatic......Lone is correct a .25 is a nice small pistol.......Also there are several .22 automatics out there, it seems like there is an ammo shortage right now on .22's, but probably only short term, manufactures will ramp up production.
