All prospective gun buyers should have to go through an IQ test, and if they don't reach the score for a genius, they shouldn't be allowed to to buy one. That doesn't mean to say people would be safe, to make people perfectly safe they would have to undergo a sanity test also.

Some very responsible gun owners own well over 100 guns ... Why would a person want a hundred guns, responsible or not, they can only handle one at a time . I like cars, but I only need the one, now if it was racing pigeons I could understand them wanting more than one.

Another shooting in America, New Mexico this time, I understand there are five victims up to now, three of them children. It's like that song, Where have all the Flowers gone, it ends with the saying, will they ever learn. Somehow I doubt it very much.

Seldom wear a tie, usually a black one at funerals, I do own a couple of belts though, but they aren't long enough to hang myself with never mind committing mass murder with. Never heard of anyone being killed by a pair of trousers either. You will have to come up with something better than ties or clothes Pilgrim.

I have shot up a barn full of ammo over the years, but nobody has been killed by a gun in my possession...
My collection is a collection of guns I've picked up over the years for various reasons.... Killing has never been a reason..
I've read where there are "freaks" who believe the only purpose for a gun is "mass murder", but that's the other side of the coin.

Killing has never been a reason.. ............................................................................... A collector has reasons. Yes, I could have many reasons... Killing has never been a reason... But just to get this little bit out of the way... I've had many guns passed down over the years... Many that I found interesting and bought just to see what it would do on the range... Just how big a gun would it take to make The Pilgrim want to put it back in the safe... I've also bought a few guns from friends and family... When I kick the bucket my son will have a collection of guns to do as he pleases... Btw, killing does not please him. Any other questions?

I suppose the parents of all the mass murderers would have said the same about their sons or daughters before the event. It is something no one can guarantee, we just live in hope they stay mentally balanced.

If he became unbalanced he could well afford to start flying planes into buildings...
Not that I find that funny, it's just that the unbalanced will find a way.

All collectors have a reason. All coin collectors have a reason......Guns are no different than coins as a item to be collected.

Since Obama is going to try to ban guns, now seems like an ideal time to buy and also as an investment? I really don't know that much about guns but i am thinking either an AR 15 or a handgun. i know that you are being funny, but, seriously, you should get a handgun. in the first place, a handgun costs a fraction of what an assault rifle costs. you can get a used glock 9mm for $350 here: www.firearmspriceguide.com/guns/assault rifles run between $1500 to $6000 also, as i have said, assault rifles are fun to shoot, but i prefer a handgun for defense since it is more maneuverable
