So, what do you all like to cook? Do you have any cooking tips in general? What are your fave kitchen gadgets?

Not you, steff. You enjoy arguing with me even if you pretend not too.

Sooo, i just myself a nice Partoku knife. And, after almost slicing off my finger (it has healed nicely), i am now getting the hang of using it.

I don't have a good set of knives like that. I just don't do alot of gourmet cooking or any cooking that I can't get done with just a paring knife! LOL

They aren't expensive FS. Go to Walmart and get one of the Santoku knives. They are awesome. SOOOO much easier to cut with than a Chef's knife. And, the partoku is the smaller and a bit harder to find but i saw them at a cooking store in the outlet for about $12 or you can get one from amazon. I have pretty much ditched my other knives for these.

Nah, don't need or want any more knives. What I have works just fine for what I need to do. But, preciate the reference.

You can cook a nice dish for yourself! Have you tried risotto? That is fun to make.

Oh I do cook for myself. I love to cook. I'm not big on TV dinners or any frozen foods.
I just don't see a need for fancy knives when my little paring knife does me just fine in the kitchen.
