Thanks Sus and II! It will all be OK, if I can just get through the next couple of weeks.

I feel like I've been saying that for a year now.
The weird thing is football practice started this week for older son's former team - I swear it feels like we just started last year's practice. We have literally gone from one sport to another, to production after production, for an entire year now. And in the middle of all that LTO got his black belt, we took two trips, and my sister got married.

Fitness and nutrition are both routine related. If they are part of my routine, I do them.

Older son's current production opens tonight, so that's exciting!

Personally, routine/discipline is preferable to me, might be why I thought the military was easy.

I'm way too creative, or untamed, or something . . . I don't know what it is, but I resist it like crazy. Always have. Though I'm finally starting to see the benefits. The military would probably break me from that mentality! OK II - you've shamed me into going for a walk. It's all your fault if I get heat stroke. Just kidding I hope you know!

You have had a non-stop year, SFM! Are you going to get any time off, at all, this summer? I know that your older son is doing some theater this summer. Do you have any plans to get away on the boat before school starts again?

II, I think that you're one of the most discilplined people that I know! I have very little routine and what I have is not particularly positive for my health. I do try to watch Stewart and Colbert everyday though. It may not be exercise but laughing is good for my health!

I don't know, every job I've had, sport I've played, and music all required discipline. Especially in a group setting, everybody needs to be on the same page.

I missed the post about your son's new production, SFM. Tell him "break a leg!" for me.
I always preferred to work alone or in a loosely organized group. I chafe against restrictions. It's been one of the hardest parts of any job that I've ever had. Punching a clock at the grocery store was torture for me because I didn't like the job. But, when I had a job that I liked, I was always there before anyone else.

I used to have a pin that said "Beware! I have PMS and I carry a gun."

::)I think I may be halfway between you two. But my "discipline" comes more from my need for organizaataion, I think. I was able to tolerate the military because they were organized. But irritated by "routine" that wasn't needed for that organization. So I left. Librarianship was my ideal job, Believe it or not there are some very creative aspects to it yet the overall idea of a library is organization personified.

He did a wonderful job . . . sang AND danced! He put that athleticism to great use!

Belated congrats to your son, SFMom. Isn't it amazing what your kids can do without you ever realizing that particular potential in them? I remember the first time I saw my eldest up on stage - Fagan in Oliver! I couldn't believe it was him. I knew he had the musical ability but not the acting.
