One of my high school boyfriends played Fagin, Peg. He had a great voice.

My son had a fairly mature baritone in high school which is why I figured he got the part of Fagin.

For those of you that require a gluten free diet, but love the indulgence of a rich moist chocolate cake.
Flourless chocolate cake 1/3 of a cup or 35gms of Cocoa powder 80ml or ½ cup of water 150gms of Unsalted Butter, chopped (must be unsalted!) 150gms of Dark Chocolate 1 ¼ cups or 300gms of Brown Sugar, firmly packed 1 ¼ cups or 125gms of Almond Meal (grind to a fine meal in your coffee grinder, blanched almonds, take care to pulse them only till they resemble flour, so they don't become an almond butter) 4 Eggs, separated.
Preheat oven to 150C, 300F or Gas Mark 2. Grease and line a 21cm/8inch Spring form cake tin. In a small saucepan over a low heat melt the Cocoa, water, butter and chocolate until smooth. Don’t rush this step. Mix together the Sugar, Almond meal and Egg yolks. Remove the chocolate mixture from the heat and transfer the mixture to a glass or stainless steel bowl, stir in the Sugar, Almond meal and the egg yolk mixture. Leave to cool to room temperature. In a very clean small bowl beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. With a metal spoon, gently fold the whipped egg whites into the cooled chocolate mixture in 3 batches. Pour into the cake tin and bake on the middle shelf for 1 hr- 1 ½ hrs. Check the cake when it gets close to 1hr 0 minutes.. Allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack and allow to fully cool before decorating.

Namaste Moxie The last time we emailed each other was last Wednesday night. I haven't heard from him since. I guess he's doing a lot of overtime.

I just saw this thread. I love it, well I love the concept.
I haven't had much time to read it.
I started P90x and then stopped when I started working two jobs. I believe I finally got my schedule on track enough that I can start it again. I'm still losing weight without the program. It was a great stress reliever.
I forgot who said it, but yes, studies have shown that exercise helps with depression greatly. Exercise actually boosts some little "happy" inhibitors in your body. (I don't know the medical terms for such things . . but exercise has been known to help with depression.)
If I lose another 10 pounds I'll be back down to where I was in high school. If I lose another 20 more I'll be back down to where that nurse said I should be. I was 5'3" tall and weighed 115 pounds and the nurse called me fat. I looked at that nurse (who was overweight by a lot) and told her that I didn't need no fat nurse calling me fat. The doctor didn't know what to do. lol
Yes, I continue to lose weight without doing P90X. Once I jump started my metabolism, it just never stopped running.

That's FANTASTIC Beags, Congrats...... I've lost 12 pounds just by kicking out a few condiments and soda.

LOL I can't give up my soda. Well I can but then I drink more coffee. I have to have my caffiene. There's something in the diet soda that makes me sick, so I can't drink diet. I drink what I call fat pop. lol I only have a can a day and the rest is water, perhaps two cups of coffee.
I was going to start P90x this morning after work. But I was busy lifting 100 to 20 pounds items for two hours at work today. Most of the items were about 50 pounds. So I already had my workout. lol

Well I've lost 3 more pounds. I have about 12 to 15 more to lose then I'll be at my right weight. I'm not doing this for how I will look, rather it's for a health issue. My liver & heart are sending out signals that they not happy with the extra stomach fat. My enzymes in both my heart and liver have risen up a bit. So a little more weight to lose + some more exercise, should do the trick.

Well done Sugi! I was able to drop close to 15 pounds and reduced my A1c <blood sugar> by 1 full point, to an acceptable reading, by walking a few miles a day. It took a few months to see some results but it's done and now 30 to 45 minutes every other day maintains it.

Well sugilite, I started for close to the same reason. My health was fine, but I didn't want it to get worse. So that was one reason . . and my hubby is already diabetic, although it doesn't run in his family, it runs in mine. (weird, I know) That's another reason I started exercising. I figured I would get a jump start on it before it found me.
The main reason had more to do with a recovering ankle and no money for physical therapy. I saw P90X advertised on tv one night. I called my doctor and asked if I could do that. He said I could but I had to wear my brace. Ok, no problem . . . until I saw the cost. Luckily my folks were visiting. Come my birthday that year, I got the P90X program in the mail with a note on the inside that said Happy Birthday, now go fix that ankle. Love mom and dad. lol

Yeah the main thing is to do yourself a huge favour. LOSE THAT WEIGHT. Finding out that my body HATES this excess fat around my middle, is the biggest boost that could give me to do this. Your body will let you know in the most certain ways possible that losing excess stomach fat is what's needed. PREVENT don't REACT. Anything worth having is worth working towards. Great going, keep it up IIF & Beags.
